Tax Master Software partners with established refund-settlement financial institutions so your office can offer Refund Transfers and, where eligible, Refund Advance products. These products are issued and funded directly by the banks above — not by Tax Master Software — and give your clients a convenient, no-upfront-cost way to pay for their tax preparation.

How It Works

From e-file to disbursement

1

Client Enrolls

Your client chooses a Refund Transfer (or Refund Advance, if eligible) at the time of filing — no cost due upfront.

2

Return Is E-Filed

The return is submitted to the IRS/state with the selected bank product attached.

3

Refund Is Issued

Once the IRS/state approves and issues the refund, it's deposited into a temporary account at the funding bank.

4

Fees Are Disbursed

The bank deducts the applicable fees, pays your tax prep fee directly to you, and sends the remaining balance to your client.

Important Information

Disclosures

Refund Transfers and Refund Advance products referenced on this page are optional tax refund-related financial products offered and funded by Refund Advantage, Santa Barbara Tax Products Group (TPG), and Republic Bank & Trust Company — not by Tax Master Software. Tax Master Software is not a bank, does not issue loans or advances, and is not a party to any agreement between a taxpayer and a funding bank.

A Refund Transfer is not a loan. It is a temporary bank account used to receive a taxpayer's federal and/or state refund, from which applicable fees are deducted before the remaining balance is disbursed to the taxpayer. A Refund Advance, where offered, is an optional loan made by the funding bank, is subject to eligibility criteria, underwriting approval, and applicable fees, and is not guaranteed. Loan amounts and availability vary by bank, product, and tax year.

Availability, terms, fees, and disbursement timing for these products vary by financial institution, are subject to IRS/state refund issuance, and may not be available in all states or for all return types. Fees charged by the funding bank are set by that bank and are separate from, and in addition to, any Tax Master Software or Service Bureau fees. Refund amounts and timing are determined solely by the IRS and applicable state tax authority — Tax Master Software does not control or guarantee when a refund is issued.

Please review the applicable bank's disclosure documents and program terms, provided at the time of enrollment, for complete details before offering these products to your clients. Tax Master Software is not a licensed financial, legal, or tax advisor, and nothing on this page constitutes financial, legal, or tax advice.
